In this new year, may I love like you, Jesus.
May I love the Father how you love Him, with my whole heart, mind, soul, and strength. May my life bring Him glory, and always point to Him, His goodness and mercy.
May I love those around me how you love them. May I love radically. May my life of loving others only be explained supernaturally. More of you, less of me. Your patience, your humility. More of you, less of me. Your gentleness, your kindness. Teach me. Change me.
Jesus, your capacity to love is endless. It’s without fail. Increase my capacity to love God and love others more. Increase my capacity, Lord. Every person matters to you, Lord. May my heart be generous and attentive. May my hands be your hands, my words your words. Holy Spirit, be alive within me.
May your love fill in my own cracks and crevices as I unite myself to you. Your love, your life-giving water, your healing sap, your flowing grace. Fill me this year, Jesus, with you and your love. I surrender my life to you. All glory to you, my Savior and King. Amen.
