“I have loved you my people with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.” Jeremiah 31:3
Love has to start somewhere. 1 John 4:19 says, “We love because he first loved us.” God never changes, so His love for us never increases or decreases. His love is everlasting.
We are not like God in this way – our love changes. I wonder how much God would increase my love for Him if I ask.
Come Holy Spirit, may I be enamored by you and your love for me.
Enamored in a way that brings me to my knees.
Enamored in a way that my joy and peace overflow.
Enamored in a way that I live for you and ask your will be done, not mine.
Enamored in a way that I choose to pray amidst the busy.
Enamored in a way that I boldly share your love with others.
Enamored in a way that I feel you with me through the day and night.
Enamored in a way that I draw my strength through you.
Enamored in a way that I listen more than I speak.
Enamored in a way that I don’t give up.
Enamored in a way that others see you in me.
Enamored in a way that I surrender everything to you in complete trust.
Come Holy Spirit, I want to be enamored by your love always.
