Listening

Lent Day 37: Today I battle that we will listen.

“Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what He is saying to the churches.” (Repeated 7 times by Jesus in Rev. 2 and 3)

Jesus, I am trying to listen. I believe this Holy Week is full of God’s graces for those who are present and who listen.

So as you speak Lord, may you find us listening. May we have a posture of receptivity – may we be humble and teachable. Tear away anything that hinders us from receiving your message of love.

All throughout the day, may we be attentive to your movement and your voice. When we fast, I ask that you amplify the sound of your voice.

Bless with prophetic words all the musicians and preachers and content creators who will be leading people closer to You this week – I am so grateful for their gifts and how you speak through them.

Help us all to listen to the Spirit and understand what He is saying. Unite us in your name. I praise You forever Jesus. I love You. Amen.
