Harvest of Blessing

Lent Day 29: Today I battle for perseverance

Galatians 6: 9 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

Jesus, this picture is so beautiful. I’m just thinking of the planting and watering and sprouting and watering and waiting and waiting. May I see my life as so beautiful.

Lord, you have always been faithful to me. It’s in your nature to be present and attentive to our needs. May I be faithful to you and persevere in goodness and hope even when it doesn’t seem to make a difference.

Jesus, today I pray for people who have hit a place where they just feel stuck. Maybe pressure or expectation is heavy on them. Maybe nothing seems to be going right, like one storm after another. I know we all need your help, but I really just want them to know that you care and that you see them.

Like the Israelites in the desert, I pray you make a road for them through the rough waters. Make a path through the wilderness. Create rivers in the dry wasteland. You’ve done it before, I ask you to do it again.

Holy Spirit, please cross their lives with someone who can encourage and point them to you in a new light. I think how Andrew brought Peter to Jesus, and Philip brought Nathanael. Make your children attentive and available to do the same for others. Thank you for loving us and getting us unstuck. We love you and we praise you, Jesus, Amen.
