Lent Day 22: Today I battle to bring honor to Jesus’ name
Jesus, your name is already powerful, holy, beautiful, and elevated as the name above all names. My little efforts are like a drop in the ocean, but Jesus, I’ll do what I can to bring honor to your name through my life. May the way I live, love, write, and speak point to you Jesus.
Jesus, shine a light for people to recognize when they use your name profanely or irreverently. My heart says they don’t know you, so I ask that you make a way into their life to let you save them, heal them, and love them. May they let you! May they receive you! Our Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. You are the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
Jesus, your love inspires and heals. Your love forgives and restores. Your love saves and transforms. Your love animates and responds. Your love reveals and enlightens. I’ve experienced it. I’ve seen it in others. There is none like you, Jesus.
Holy Spirit, give your people clarity of mission and fervor to bring honor and glory to Jesus’ name through their lives, Amen.
“Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,

and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord,
