Lent Day 16: Today I battle for wisdom.
Father God, you are sovereign over all things. You are so generous to your people. Wisdom only comes from you. I thank you for encouraging us to ask for wisdom.
Come Holy Spirit. Fill me with wisdom, Lord. The wisdom that points to you. The wisdom that builds others up, and reflects self-control and humility. A tongue that holds back rash words, but releases kindness and healing.
Fill my children and husband with wisdom, Lord. May our schools and churches act in your wisdom, Lord. May our government leaders act in your wisdom, Lord.
May we be men and women after your own heart. I love you, and I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
