Belt of Truth – Armor of God

“Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the breastplate of God’s righteousness.”

Ephesians 6:14

Father God, you sent Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life. Strengthen my understanding of how to live with this foundation guiding my path each day. Renew my feelings, instincts, conscience, and experience to line up with God’s truth.

May we know the truth and may the truth set us free – free to love you, Lord, and others; free from anger, despair, oppression, jealousy, greed, envy, shame, judgment, criticism, unforgiveness, bitterness, sin, discouragement, and worry.

May I stand unapologetically firm in God’s truth. May I look to God’s truth for support, balance, and harmony. Give me an unwavering allegiance to the truth of God’s Word.

God, I trust you and let you align my decisions and responses, my attitudes and ambitions, alongside your benchmark of truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

(As noted in my post “Armor of God” on 5/13/2023, I credit Priscilla Shirer for partially “writing” these prayers because they are the fruit of participating in her bible study “The Armor of God” last winter. There are probably phrases taken directly from the book that I didn’t cite because I originally wrote them to be used privately.)
