Nothing is Too Hard for God

Self-reliance. It means a reliance on one’s own powers and resources rather than those of others.

I’ve been thinking of some of the stressors in my life right now, and whether I’m venturing some of those mountains on my own.

I will not. Instead I’m choosing to surrender them into the hands of God. I wait for Him to tell me when to move. I choose to not fear or worry, because of who God is. He’s worthy of my trust.

The following prayer is of surrender, as I draw from God’s conversation with the prophet Jeremiah in the book of Jeremiah 32 : 26-27, where the Lord says to Jeremiah,

“I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?”

Nothing is too hard for you, God.

Stressor: Trying to find balance with my kids’ activities and lack of meaningful family time.

Nothing is too hard for you, God. You are a God of order, and set the time, the seasons, and the earth in motion. You have ordered our days, and go before us and behind us. Renew our minds to find abundant life in the busy. Teach us. Lead us.

Stressor: Bringing peace and comfort to friends who have lost loved ones to death.

Nothing is too hard for you, God. You are the creator of peace. The Prince of Peace. I trust you will comfort them in all the ways I cannot. Give them hope in all the ways I cannot.

Stressor: Trusting you are at work in the hearts of those who have stopped practicing their faith.

Nothing is too hard for you, God. In one breath, you made light. You are glorious. Your greatest miracles still occur within the transformations of hearts. You have a story to tell, and we help tell your story through our lives. Give us patience and love. Enlighten us.

Stressor: Navigating the challenges of growing kids and the changes in family dynamics. Maintaining a thriving marriage.

Nothing is too hard for you, God. You know their thoughts, their ways, their hearts. You have a plan and a purpose, and I believe you are in control. You are the great uniter. Keep us united in mind and heart. Please give us wisdom, Lord.

Stressor: Wanting to spread the gospel and bring Jesus to others; understanding my role in the church and how to bring you glory, Lord.

Nothing is too hard for you, God. You are writing the story. I don’t need to know all the answers, but I can be willing and obedient to your Spirit. One moment at a time I let you lead me. I want to dream big with you God!

Thank you Lord. I pray this all in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Tell God your stressors. Then say out loud, “Nothing is too hard for you, God.” Be not afraid. He is with you in this.
