This morning I came across a prayer, “God, show me your glorious presence.” The first thing that crossed my mind was, ‘If He shows me, what if I miss it?’
It reminded me of a story in Acts 8, when the apostle Philip meets an Ethiopian eunuch and tells him about Jesus. The eunuch asks, “Look, there is water. What is to prevent my being baptized?” What is to prevent me from living a full life that Jesus offers?
We know God is not hiding from us. He offers His love whenever we turn to Him. But trying to keep up with all the things, I can actually miss out on what matters most and what truly satisfies – a relationship with Him.
God, show me your glorious presence, and don’t let me miss it. Help me live life with you. I ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.
