Jesus, no one is more humble than you.
You hold all power and wisdom and might, yet you emptied yourself for us in love and in obedience to God.
Send your Spirit upon me, shine a light on my pride. Search my intentions.
Create in me a pure heart. A softened heart. A servant’s heart.
Clothe me in your compassion and humility.
Empty my pride…so I may be filled with your Spirit.
Empty my pride…so I may learn to forgive.
Empty my pride…so I can trust in you completely.
Empty my pride…so I can love others that you put in my path.
May I not count the cost but serve in joyful obedience with you, Jesus.
May I live for God’s glory, and not my own. Amen.
