Father God, how you delight in your children! I catch my eyes on a lilac bush and go pick a few, then take in a deep breath, smelling the beautiful scent you infused in the petals. Oh the wonder of beauty! These flowers, so appealing to my eyes, nose, and touch. No one is more generous and attentive than you, Father, giving an abundance of lilacs to these bushes, so that even from far away I can catch their scent and joyfully think of you, our Creator.
Father, please fill me with the wonder of your creation, the wonder of your love. Help me to be attentive to you. Help me see how you reveal your delight in me, your love for me. Thank you for your beautiful creation and loving heart. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
