I send this image of my son’s bedroom door to my friend every couple of weeks, so I wouldn’t be surprised if I post it again in the future. My son hung up this caution tape the first day we moved into our new house. I doubt he realizes that it’s been a gentle and constant reminder from God to me to be patient and trust that He is at work.

Yes God, I believe that your Holy Spirit is at work within my children. I surrender my kids, my mothering, my worries, my expectations, my hopes to you. I trust you to write the story of our family. I do not need to understand your ways, so help me to be still and know who you are, God, my Father and their Father. In Jesus’ precious name I pray, Amen.
